GHG emissions reduction
  • 14 October 2020

International Maritime Organisation (IMO) continues to contribute to the global fight against climate change.

It has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from international shipping by at least 50% by 2050 (compared to 2008 emissions), with a strong emphasis on reaching zero emissions. This represents a great and exciting challenge for us ship designers, as a mix of technical, operational and innovative solutions can be applicable to ships.
