Sea Green Engineering is pleased to have participated in the 28th Annual Meeting of the European Research Vessel Operators (ERVO), held in Trieste from 8 to 10 June 2026 and hosted by OGS – National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics. The event brought together research vessel operators, fleet managers, technical specialists, and industry representatives from across Europe to discuss the future of marine research infrastructure, operational challenges, and emerging technologies supporting scientific activities at sea.

As a company specializing in the integration of scientific and technical equipment, as well as the design, upgrade, and retrofit of research vessels, Sea Green Engineering values opportunities to engage directly with the European research vessel community and contribute to discussions that help shape the next generation of research platforms.

Throughout the meeting, participants exchanged knowledge on fleet operations, vessel modernization programs, technological innovation, and best practices aimed at improving the efficiency and capabilities of research vessels serving the scientific community. The event also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with operators, institutions, and industry partners working across the marine research sector.

The 2026 edition of ERVO was particularly significant as it was hosted in Trieste, one of Europe’s leading centres for marine science and research. Attendees also had the opportunity to visit the Italian research vessels Laura Bassi and Gaia Blu, highlighting the importance of advanced research infrastructures in supporting ocean science and environmental monitoring.

Sea Green Engineering would like to thank OGS – National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics for the excellent organization and hospitality throughout the event. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the European research vessel community and supporting the development of innovative solutions for marine research operations.
